Things to Do If You Regret Buying A Timeshare

Tips To Avoid Buyer's Remorse

If you bought a timeshare and you enjoyed great vacations at your resort for years, but lately you have started to regret the purchase or the purchase took place recently, but you have realized that it does not fit into your life right now, you don’t need to be stuck with the unwanted contract – here are a few things that you can try to get rid of it:

  • Check the contract to see whether it includes a grace period – most states require timeshare companies to include a grace period into their contracts, a period after the signing of the contract during which the buyer can cancel the purchase without having to pay anything;
  • Contact the seller for a take back – if the grace period has expired, you can still contact your timeshare management company to ask them whether they want the property back. Many companies have deed-back programs in place for buyers who are willing to accept a lower price for their timeshare;
  • Contact a timeshare consultant – find a reliable expert like Timeshare Termination Team and schedule a consultation to find out about your options. Don’t forget that there is a market for second-hand timeshare properties, so ask your consultant about your chances to sell your timeshare.
